    Position Summary

    BDO s Financial Recovery Services (FRS) practice has established a reputation for uncompromising commitment to service, quality and results. Our financial recovery specialists provide creative, constructive, and cost-effective solutions for troubled companies and individuals. Our professionals combine their business management, analytical and insolvency skills with hands-on industry experience to ensure our clients receive consistent and personalized service.

    Our Financial Recovery Services office in Windsor has an immediate opening for an organized and professional individual that is adaptable, has strong interpersonal skills, is comfortable with numbers and be able to function within a strong team environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for various customer services provide outstanding customer service to all inbound inquiring allowing for timely and effective business response. the hours for this position are 7am - 3pm and there is a need for occasional weekend work.

    Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

    • Answer inbound calls with a friendly and courteous attitude ensuring a consistent and high level of customer service

    • Respond to inquiries in writing with accuracy and professionalism

    • Determine service requirement by utilizing active listening skills and business knowledge

    • Escalate complex requests to the appropriate contact

    • Ensure all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

    • Secondary school diploma. Diploma/certificate in Office Administration would be considered an asset

    • Minimum of 2 years experience in a customer service environment

    • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Outlook and Excel

    • Highly developed customer service and telephone communication skills with a focus on active listening

    • Ability to work in a fast paced, high-volume, detail oriented environment with a strong focus on multi-tasking, organizational and time management skills

    • Proven success performing individually and as an active team player

    • Demonstrated professionalism, displaying a courteous, friendly and positive attitude

    • Excellent communication (both verbal and written) and problem solving skills

    • Proven reliability with a consistent record of attendance at work

    • Ability to work various shifts, inclusive of evenings, weekends and holidays

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
