Satellite Healthcare
The Center Manager (non RN) is responsible for the day to day operations of the dialysis center and ensuring quality care and service delivery. This includes oversite of center functioning, personnel need and staffing as well as fiscal management. The non
RN Center Manager always works in collaboration with an RN in a leadership position who is responsible for the oversight and direction of the direct care staff. The Center Manager (CM) leads staff in regular review of quality performance assessment and improvement
and proactively addresses potential patient and staff safety issues as part of the interdisciplinary team of QAPI. The CM is a liaison to physician?s partners. The CM is a leader within Satellite who represents center needs to the Home Office and supports
enterprise initiatives at the center level.
Essential Functions:
Patient Management
? Patient Admissions and Discharges. Manages overall admission and discharge process, ensuring RN oversite and verification of accuracy and safety of all admission and discharge orders.
? Access Management. Organizes the Vascular Access Leader (VAL) team that ensures consistent and timely monitoring of access issues and verifies appropriate action of identified problems. Communicates with physician partners as appropriate.
? Anemia Management. Delegate?s routine oversight to a Nurse Anemia Manager who assures appropriate action of critical lab values.
? Adequacy Management. Assembles the monthly adequacy team including, but not limited to, the Dietitian and Assistant Center Manager (Nurse) to discuss what aspects of the treatment can be modified to correct deficiencies in the delivery of dialysis.
? Patient Rounding. Implements routine rounding of patients to proactively identify needs and concerns of in-center patients. Ensures the confidentiality of patient and employee information.
? Patient Care Conferences. Responsible for monthly management of interdisciplinary team care conferences.
? Medical Record Management. Assumes responsibility for the overall supervision and management of the medical records as outlined in the Operational Policy and Procedures manual. Responsible for accuracy, completeness and timeliness of all data entry including
Crown Web data.
Center Management
? Quality Assessment Performance Improvement. The member of the QAPI team ultimately responsible for oversight of QAPI projects. Delegates QAPI projects to appropriate subject matter experts, monitors aggregate clinical outcome data to identify trends, analyzes
root causes and implement interventions to correct real and/or potential problems in the center.
? Infection Control and Vaccinations. Ensures employee compliance with all infection control policies and procedures to prevent and control infections. Insists on neat and clean environment. Ensures RN oversite of all infections; that all are correctly documented
(including NHSN reporting as required) and appropriate care is rendered per protocol or physician order. Ensures RN oversight of patient vaccinations including Hepatitis B, Seasonal Flu, and Pneumonia. Reports data as required by the Renal Network Environmental/Vaccination
Scans.
? Incident Reports. Responsible for the review and analysis of internal incident reports and reports significant incidents promptly to the Territory Director and Medical Director. Aggregates data to identify trends in accordance with the Quality Assessment
and Performance Improvement (QAPI) program.
? Renal Network Compliance. Follows guidelines and goals in accordance with the legislative mandate for the ESRD Network Program.
? Governing Body Meetings. Supervises all aspects of the center operations and serves as the designated Administrator for the center and member of the local governing body. Arranges meetings to be held according to the Governing Body and Center Governance
Policy.
Personnel Management
? Staffing. Assists in staff scheduling and interprets staffing policies. Arranges coverage for unscheduled absences with input from the nurse leader based on patient acuity needs. Promotes a teamwork approach by offering information, advice, and assistance
to all center staff members in a positive, courteous, and cooperative manner.
? Staff Meetings. Conducts monthly staff meeting to address any areas of concern and to ensure proper communication between all staff members.
? Focal Reviews. Supervises and evaluates all employees of the center in conjunction with discipline specific subject matter experts and under supervision of the Territory Director.
? Policy and Procedure. Provides oversight of policies and procedures and acts on non-compliance including notifying the Territory Director. Ensures staff documents thoroughly and correctly. Effectively communicates new policy and procedure updates.
Fiscal Management
? Monitors operating and capital budget to ensure containment of controllable costs and promotes.
? Coordinates all physical plant, facility, equipment and supply needs and issues to Technical services.
? Ensures proper use of supplies to minimize waste.
Conduct
? Adheres to all policies found in the Employee Conduct Expectations (i.e. dress code, professionalism, etc.) found in the Employee Handbook
? Contributes to harmonious and constructive working relationships with all staff members
Customer Service
? Responsible for driving the Satellite Healthcare culture through values and customer service standards
? Accountable for outstanding customer service to all external and internal customers
? Develops and maintains effective relationships through effective and timely communication ? Takes initiative and action to respond, resolve and follow up regarding customer service issues with all customers in a timely manner.

Requirements
Minimum Education & Experience:
? Bachelor?s degree in a work related field, minimum.
? Leadership and management experience, 2 years minimum preferred.
Satellite Healthcare:
? Dialysis experience preferred
Minimum Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
? Ability to read, write, speak, understand and satisfactorily communicate in English

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
