up to $24/hour The Administrative Aide is a part-time extra help position assigned to either the Building Division, under the Community Development Department, or the Town Manager's Office.
The Building Division provides plan review and building inspection services, code enforcement, and education on new regulations and construction methods.
The Town Manager's office is responsible for the day-to-day administration of the Town that includes the divisions of Economic Development, Emergency Preparedness, Garbage, and the Town Attorney.
The Administrative Aide is responsible for greeting customers, performing clerical duties, providing information to the public either over the phone or in person, and assisting with permit data entry and review that includes processing land development applications, special event permits, and building permit documents.
Examples of Duties:
The following are some but not all of the responsibilities and duties considered essential for this position:
Greet and assist customers.
Answer incoming calls to the department.
Enter information into the building permit software database.
Coordinate the issuance of service requests and sharing information with members of the public.
Provide administrative support to management and departmental staff.
Compose and prepare correspondence using considerable judgment in content and style.
Assist in a wide variety of assignments including the processing of invoices, record keeping, report preparation, filing, contracts, research projects, and department programs.
Typical Qualifications Qualified candidates must possess knowledge of current office procedures and equipment, principles of customer service and record keeping; basic math concepts; and experience using Office 365.
Building permit software training will be provided as necessary.
A High School Diploma or General Equivalency Degree, and one year of progressively responsible office experience are highly desired.
An equivalent combination of education and experience that would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is acceptable.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
